Write a positive local story, save a draft, and send it to the community team for review. Anyone can contribute—no business or claimed listing required. If you manage a business too, you can use the same account in both workspaces.
COMMUNITY STORIES
Independent, non-promotional stories about kindness, local people, and community involvement. Writing is unpaid, and every submission needs editorial approval.
Our team may also independently choose to write about a business for free.
BUSINESS-PROVIDED ARTICLES
If you write and provide an article promoting your business, it is a sponsored submission. You must have a verified claim to that business.
Submit for editorial approval first, at no cost. Only after approval will we request the $125 payment. Rejected submissions are not charged. Approved, paid articles are then published and clearly labeled Sponsored on the website and in the app.
We want content worth reading, with a positive community focus from beginning to end.
Celebrate kindness, local people, opportunities, and community involvement. We do not publish negative reviews, complaints, personal attacks, accusations, partisan disputes, or fear-based headlines.
Bring a useful perspective, a local story, or practical information. A sales pitch dressed up as an article is not enough; sponsored submissions must meet the same editorial standard.
Check names, dates, facts, and permissions. Write your own work, identify sources when needed, and only upload images you have permission to publish. Never invent details or remove essential context to make a story sound positive.
If the story promotes your business or one you represent, select a business-provided story type and use a listing you have successfully claimed. Hiding an affiliation may lead to rejection or paused contributor access.
Independent, non-promotional community submissions are free. Stories our editorial team independently chooses to write may feature businesses for free. Business-provided promotional stories and advertisements cost $125 per article and are clearly labeled Sponsored. No contributor is paid for writing.
Every submission is reviewed before payment is requested. Rejected submissions are not charged. For approved sponsored articles: approval first, payment second, publication last. We may edit, request changes, decline, or remove work that does not fit the positive community focus. Your approved author name, biography, story, and images are public.
